Wedding Inspo #2 - Summer Vibes at Brockholes Nature Reserve

Writer's picture: Bill NessworthyBill Nessworthy

Probably the sunniest wedding of our career so far was the glorious day, last summer, when Mr & Mrs Smith married at Brockholes Nature Reserve, Preston! It was like safari-level sunny - us Brits aren't used to this, but the wedding was absolutely stunning, with a lovely relaxed vibe.

Sam got ready at her parents' lovely house in Preston, a house with a vintage lamppost in the middle of the garden! - so we had to use that for the dress photo!

She had her hair done by Be Beautiful, Preston, and her makeup by Victoria MUA.

Chris, our groom got ready at his and Sam's house in Fulwood, Preston. His dad chauffeured him down to Brockholes in his vintage Jaguar E-Type!

...actually my dream car, if I ever dreamt about cars.

The ceremony was held in Brockholes Nature Reserve's floating venue, which sits in the middle of the lake among the reeds. Sam walked down the aisle with her father to 'Can't Help Falling In Love With You'. The ceremony was beautiful.

Sam's bouquet and the rest of the flowers were supplied by Felicity Farm Flowers.

It was an absolutely stunning day, and was even featured in the local newspaper.
